The Second Workshop Meeting of the Horizon2020 project COURAGE (“Cultural Opposition – Understanding the CultuRal HeritAGE of Dissent in the Former Socialist Countries”) took place in Warsaw at the Polish Academy of Sciences 16/17 June 2016
Thanks to the generous hospitality of the Polish partner IFIS PAN, the consortium had fruitful discussions about the updated interview guidelines, the methodological questions of the registry, the online registry guides, and the updated draft structure of the registry. Each national task manager introduced his or her list of collections, presented questions, and shared relevant experiences. At the meeting partners agreed on the provisional list of collections to be studied, the final metadata structure based on pilot studies, and the communication plan draft.
Jarkko Siren, COURAGE Project Officer (REA, Brussels) also participated in the workshop on the second day and informed the consortium partners about H2020 Societal Challenge 6 and REA Project Management. Then the draft communication and dissemination plan and strategies were discussed.
The Academic Board Meeting and the Steering Committee Meeting of the project closed the workshop with a detailed assessment of progress and suggestions for further improvement.
The Second Workshop Meeting workshop was of particular importance from the perspective of the successful implementation and management of the project. “It was important for the participants to discuss and agree on crucial questions and issues in order to ensure that we arrive at a common platform for this international research project” – said Sándor Horváth, Primary Coordinator Contact of the international consortium.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 692919.
