The blog post of Krisztián Csaplár-Degovics, senior research fellow and head of department of our institute entitled A change of direction or the start of a new paradigm shift? was published on the website of the Humanitarian State-buiding website.


In the context of humanitarian state-building in the Balkans, a change is presumably taking place these weeks that could end the third, so-called liberal phase of humanitarian interventions. This blog post, in addition to briefly describing the eras of humanitarian intervention, captures the fact of this change and then draws attention to historical lessons that may be useful for today's diplomats.
