A new English-language monograph by Dóra Fedeles-Czeferner has just been published by Indiana University Press under the title Progressive Women’s Movements in Austria and Hungary. Conflict, Cooperation, Circulation.

The book explores the progressive women’s movements of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in the Dualist Era, focusing on three key organizations: the Allgemeiner österreichischer Frauenverein in Vienna, as well as the Nőtisztviselők Országos Egyesülete (National Association of Female Office Workers) and the Feministák Egyesülete (Feminists’ Association) in Budapest. The monograph offers a new perspective on the networks, international embeddedness, and socio-political significance of Austrian and Hungarian feminist organizations.
